Cameroon: ECTN Certificate

Each cargo with final destination Douala should be covered by an E-CTN also known as BESC.

Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Starting 1 January 2026, Cameroonian authorities will extend the BESC/ECTN requirement to all transit cargo destined to or passing through Cameroon, in addition to import shipments.Transit cargo without a valid BESC will no longer be accepted and may face delays, penalties, or rejection by local authorities. We therefore encourage careful planning to ensure full compliance. The in-transit BESC can be issued at destination by your forwarder at no extra cost.

Updates on tariffs will be applied for some shipments types.
