Chad: ECTN Certificate

Each cargo with final destination N’Djamena should be covered by an E-CTN also known as BESC. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Côte d'Ivoire: BESC Certificate

Each cargo with final destination Abidjan should be covered by an E-CTN also known as BSC. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC): FERI Certificate

When conducting Air and Sea Shipments to the Democratic Republic of Congo, it is mandatory upon shippers or their designated representatives to furnish a FERI (Fiche Electronique de Renseignements à l’Importation), for shipments offloaded at the port of Matadi. This FERI documents necessitates validation from a recognized and duly authorized entity.

Djibouti: CTN Certificates

Djibouti Ports and Free Zone Authorities launched the compulsory issuance of ECTN/BESC for all shipments to Djibouti as of June 15th, 2023. Importers / Exporters / Shipowners / Carriers / Shipping Agents / Forwarders / Customs agents are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Gabon: BIETC Certificate

Each cargo with final destination Libreville or Port Gentil should be covered by a BIETC (Bordereau d’Identification de Traçabilité des Cargaisons) issued through the official representatives of the Conseil Gabonais des Chargeurs - CGG. Pelship Offshore SAL is the official authorized agent for issuing the BIETC waiver for the Middle East and the Gulf.

Ghana: ECTN Certificate

Each cargo with final destination Tema should be covered by an E-CTN. SPN Update for Ghana The Ghana Shippers’ Authority has officially deferred the rollout of the Smart Port Note (SPN) from 1 February 2026. A new date will be shared by the authorities in due course.

Guinea Bissau: ECTN Certificate

Madagascar: BESC Certificate

Republic of Congo

Each cargo with final destination Pointe Noire should be covered by an ECTN. Pelship Offshore SAL is the authorized agent for issuing ECTN for the Republic of Congo. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Senegal

Each cargo with final destination Dakar should be covered by an ECTN or BESC. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Sierra Leone

Each cargo with final destination Freetown should be covered by an ECTN or an ENS Number. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

Somalia

Each cargo with destination Mogadishu, Berbera, Bossaso, Merca, Kismayo should be covered by a compulsory E-CTN as of 1st of February 2023. Importers / Exporters / Shipowners / Carriers / Shipping Agents / Forwarders / Customs agents are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

South Sudan

Each cargo should be covered by an ECTN. Shippers / Forwarders are requested to follow the imposed procedure by the official authorities to avoid any difficulty or penalty upon clearing the goods at destination.

The Gambia

As of May 15, 2023, all cargo shipments to and from The Gambia – Banjul require a shipping certificate also known as an Entry Summary Number (ENS) or Exit Summary Number (ENX), shipping certificate also known as CTN.
